Show Me a Monogram

Monogram's are IN...did you know?

I remember when I got married and I loved having a MONOGRAM with our initials. I still do. For birthday gifts, I found these great Wooden monograms from @writeaway with @groopdealz. I just had to get me one too!

I decided to paint the monogram white so that it would pop from the street. On @pinterest, @OctoberAfternoon(http://octoberafternoon.typepad.com )had a great way to paint frames so I tried it.

It was easy and very little overspray with @Krylon spray paint. Just place item in a box and spray away. I did the back first then the front and I used two coats.

I couldn't wait to hang it so I tied up a @ShowMeDecorating Bow with Black & White #Chevron and Polka Dot. You can learn to tie a bow at http://bowapp.showmedecorating.com.

For spring, I started with a grapevine wreath from @HobbyLobby then added a red berry garland, then a lime green crackle berry, and for more texture a Twisted Grass Garland is wired in.

Floral wire is great to use to wire items into a wreath and gives you the flexibility to change items from season to season. Now to add the ribbon!

Instead of bows or a central bow, curly mustache bows will fill in more of the wreath. I chose a solid #burlap, a chicken coop burlap, and turquoise. Later, I may add in a plaid or Easter ribbon.

I used 5 sets of mustache bows.

I'm ready for Spring! Happy 1st day of spring...now I just need to get my flower pots planted, clean out my flower beds....oh no!

Happy Decorating,

Jennifer
