It's summertime! Finally!
We are kicking it off by showing you some our favorite colorful Summer decor!
Here are two of our favorite Summer wreaths using our Show MeDecorating techniques. They will make a great first impression for your guests at the pool party or summer family outdoor or beach bash.
Here is the new Summer banner from one of our favorite artists, Lisa Frost! She is so talented and makes the cutest door banners! Great to use if you have a glass door in front of a wooden door, it fits right in between.
Show Me Decorating Tip: Think outside the box for your door decor, follow us on Pinterest for more ideas!
These Gerber daisy topiaries are a great idea for table decor for a wedding shower, bridal luncheon or summertime entertaining you're planning! They are so cute and easy to make! Here's what you need: 3 sizes styrofoam balls, moss and silk gerber daisies, a glue gun, a wooden dowel and a pot for the base. Simple instructions can be found online.
Show Me Decorating Tip: Think about adding height when setting your table. Cake stands & tiered trays add interest and place cookies and desserts in full view! The tall topiaries are eye catching!
Get out all those colorful dishes hiding in your cupboards and use them! This is a fun and easy way to brighten up for the summer! Check out our favorite dish and home decor company, Coton Colors. They have so many fun dishes and platters that mix in with your everyday dishes. Their Happy Everything line adds a Holiday touch with the attachments that can be changed out for any season! Makes a great gift.
Show Me Decorating Tip: Pick a spot in your house, the entry table, kitchen island, bookcase or mantel and change out seasonally. You and your family will enjoy!
Last, but certainly not least, our favorite drink! Raspberry Beer Lemonade! I am not a beer drinker but this taste like Lemonade, light, delicious and easy to make for those summer get togethers! Here is the recipe:
Raspberry Beer Lemonade (found on Pinterest)
3/4 cup frozen raspberries*
3 1/2 (12-oz.) bottles beer, chilled
1 (12-oz.) container frozen raspberry lemonade concentrate, thawed
1/2 cup vodka
Garnish: lemon and lime slices
1. Stir together first 4 ingredients. Serve over ice. Garnish, if desired.
*Fresh raspberries may be substituted.
Note: To make ahead, stir together lemonade concentrate and vodka in a large container. Chill up to 3 days. Stir in raspberries and beer just before serving. Garnish, if desired.
I dipped the clear plastic drink cups in a Powder sugar icing (powder sugar and milk, stir to combine, needs to be thick enough to stick to edge of glass) and then into a plate of sprinkles!
Show Me Decorating Tip: Simple details have a big impact, the glasses topped with sprinkles and colored paper straws got a lot of ohhs and ahhhs!
Have a wonderful summer everyone! Happy Decorating!
