Show Me: A Sweet Christmas How To…..
Sugar cookies baking in the oven, Jingle bells playing in the background……packages wrapped and under the perfectly decorated Christmas Tree! I am dreaming of a sweet Christmas!
The kitchen is the heart of the home and we love to decorate with sweet treats, gingerbread houses, candy trees, baking Santa's and festive cookie nutcrackers. A fun party idea is to host a cookie exchange and use your kitchen island as the cookie buffet! We love faux gingerbread houses, no fussy mess or cleanup!
Gather your supplies:
table top trees
baking themed Santa's
gingerbread houses (bought or made)
trays or wooden cutting boards
Show Me the How to:
Unroll the mesh, cut desired length, tie a knot in the ends for a finished look.
Use the cake stand for one of the gingerbread houses, arrange with the Santa, trees and 2nd gingerbread house.
Tip: Cake stands create a great riser and add height
The gingerbread train adds a whimsical touch!
choose a tray or wooden cutting board to hold another house and 2 nutcrackers.
Now invite your friends and enjoy the party!
Another grouping could include a decorative plate! We love Mary Engelbreit and her whimsical style.
A tray great option for setting a scene with gingerbread houses.
Tip: vary the size and style of house just like in a real neighborhood, add in trees to complete.
Everyday home decor can be incorporated, the iron tray serves as a great base for the Chocolate Gingerbread house and Cookie Nutcrackers! Hollywood Nutcrackers by Kurt S. Adler are our favorites!
